The Toyota MR2 is a two-door coupe with a transverse mid-engine, rear-wheel drive, and MacPherson strut suspensions. This car has three incarnations over the years and, as a result, its appearance has changed from resembling a Ferrari to resembling a Porsche. Designed for those with a need for speed the Toyota MR2 can go from zero to sixty miles per hour in eight seconds flat.
The Toyota MR2 has sped through the film industry making appearances large and small in over thirty-one film and television productions. One extremely noteworthy appearance is in the original 2001 film The Fast and the Furious. Though not one of the primary vehicles in the film it’s scene does make show up briefly in the trailer. The car is also in the 1992 film Lady Dragon and the 1996 Chinese film Gu Guo Zi: Zhi Ren Zai Jiang Hu (Young and Dangerous).
