The Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais was a popular mid-size car by General Motors for the US market. This model was always at the supreme position of the Cutlass range. It started as a trim package, produced its own roofline and was eventually divorced mechanically from the latter and the smaller cutlass. The international series of this model was made available as both a 2 and 4 door and sported exclusive options for Calais range, including rear fascias and lower front, quad tipped sports exhaust and lower rocker extensions. The changes made inside include the thickly bolstered sports seats featuring driver side power controls and came available in the cloth having full leather or leather accents. The international series also came standard with windows and power locks with auto down on the driver side, a multifunction driver information system in the center console, the uplevel sports suspension and cruise control.
